Woman Receives Clean, Safe Home Amidst Pandemic
Ms. Be is 77 years old and lives alone in a small house provided by her nephew, which has just enough room for a bed and a living area. When we visited Ms. Be, she told us her greatest wish was to have a better home to protect her from the rainy season, as well as a bathroom. She is in poor health, but must use water in the nearby pond for her personal needs.
Kids Promise was honored to build the woman a stable home of iron columns, an iron roof and a small bathroom. Due to the risks of COVID-19, representatives of Kids Promise couldn’t attend the official ceremony that dedicated the home, but Ms. Be was joined by local Buddhist monks and nuns from Khanh Linh Pagoda. We hope that this new home will be a truly meaningful gift and a great encouragement for Ms. Be.
A sincere thank you to our donors for their financial support that made this home a possibility. We wish you all continued health and success, and are grateful for your assistance as we continue supporting disadvantaged women and children. Your efforts are enriching these lives and communities!
