Single Mother and Her Children Welcome a Safe and Stable Home

Kids Promise completed its fourth home of 2019 when it officially handed over a new house in Tien Giang province to Ms. Tran Thi Le and her family.

For more than 10 years, the family had been living in a decrepit home in which the children could see sunlight coming through the roof and the sole bed was the warmest place for the family at night. A single mother, Ms. Le and her three school age children were also living with a leaky roof throughout many rainy nights. Jobs are scarce in the area, and earning an income has been very difficult for Ms. Le while she faced the financial and mental health challenges of being a single parent living in poverty.

Ms. Le’s new home is safe, warm and stable, making the family very happy and thankful. Ms. Le is working for a garment company and hopes to give her children a better life with a good home and an education.
