Supplies Help Kids Start the Year off Right

With the start of a new school year, many children are lacking in the basic necessities to be successful in school. This challenge, coupled with the limitations of living in poverty, can lessen a pupil’s chances of academic success.

We recently partnered with the youth group of Sa Dec City to learn about the challenges facing pupils there. There was a multitude of needs, and so we sought out supplies and items that would help support their school efforts. It’s not easy work, but our team is strongly motivated by their desire to help the children.

In early September, Kids Promise members delivered bicycles, school bags and other supplies to students at Tan Quy Dong primary school and others in Sa Dec City who – despite living in poverty – are showing impressive academic achievement. There was a brief ceremony attended by various community members and government officials.
