Kids Promise Back-to-School Program Delivers Essential Supplies to Remote Students
In line with its September 2024 charity initiative and annual program for supporting students in highland and remote areas, Kids Promise recently organized a meaningful trip to bring essential supplies to students facing difficult circumstances. This year’s initiative focused on Son Lam Primary and Secondary School in the village of Ka Lip, within Phan Son hamlets of Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province.
Bringing Supplies to Remote Locations
Son Lam Primary and Secondary School, located over 60 kilometers from the Bac Binh district center, serves nearly 1,000 students across three locations. Most of these students are from ethnic minority groups, including K’ho, Raclay, Cham, and Nung communities. Among the three school sites, the K’Luc location in Phan Son commune is the most remote, with 90 primary students facing significant challenges attending class due to a lack of clothing, shoes, transportation, and school supplies.
Supporting Student Success
During the visit, Kids Promise provided 90 students in K’Luc with essential items, including clothing, shoes, and school supplies. To further support students in need, the organization donated six bicycles to outstanding and hardworking students who face long commutes and lack reliable transportation. The value of the donations amounted to approximately 50 million VND.
