Stories of Kids Promise Charity Homes #44

There’s been a lot of activity this season! We recently completed three Charity Homes. Special thanks to our generous volunteers and donors who are truly transforming the lives of so many children!

Charity Home #44 was donated to the family of Mr. Vo Van Trung and Mrs. Le Thi Kim Anh in Kien Tuong district, Long An province. They live with their two children, grades 6 and 8, on land that Mr. Trung’s mother gave them.

Mr. Trung mainly works as a tree feller, earning about 200,000 VND (just over $8 USD) per day, as does Ms. Kim Anh. Neither of the parents has a stable income and jobs are in short supply. Their rotting home was full of termites, but their current income is only enough to cover food and school expenses. Both children have a great love of learning.

Kids Promise learned of the family’s situation and the children’s dedication to their school work. Today, the family has a solid, clean, and safe home that helps them live comfortably and continue working to support their children’s education.
